Privacy Policy

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text).

When you subscribe to a paid tier, payment is processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card, UPI, or bank details — Razorpay handles that directly and shares with us only the subscription status, plan, and transaction ID needed to manage your access.

We collect usage data — which lessons, roadmaps, or projects you've viewed or completed — so we can track your progress and show you accurate course completion status.

If you apply to a job posted on our jobs board, we share the application details you submit (resume, cover note, contact info) with the employer who posted that listing.

To provide the service: authenticate you, track lesson and roadmap progress, and manage your subscription tier and billing cycle.

To communicate with you: transactional emails (password resets, payment receipts, subscription renewal notices) and, if you've opted in, product updates.

To improve the platform: aggregated, de-identified usage patterns help us understand which content is working and which isn't.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Razorpay (payment processing) — receives billing details necessary to process your subscription.

Employers (only if you apply to a job listing) — receive the application materials you choose to submit.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ciphemic Academia, our users, or the public.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we're required to retain transaction records for tax or legal purposes.

You can access, update, or delete your personal information from your Account settings at any time, or by emailing privacy@ciphemicacademia.com.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any such email — transactional emails (billing, security) cannot be opted out of while your account is active.

We use cookies for authentication (keeping you signed in) and basic analytics. See our Cookie Policy for details.

We use industry-standard measures — encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and rate-limited authentication — to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, and we encourage you to use a strong, unique password.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or an in-app notice before they take effect.
