Who this course is for

If you already know your way around cloud infrastructure and have some DevSecOps exposure, and you want to specialize specifically in securing that infrastructure end to end — not just deploying it — this course is built for that transition. It builds on the Cloud Engineer and DevSecOps roadmaps, so comfort with cloud services and baseline security practices is assumed.

What you'll actually build

The course works through five real operational problems, in order: hardening cloud IAM down to least-privilege access, deploying cloud security posture management (CSPM) tooling and actually acting on its findings rather than letting alerts pile up, designing zero-trust network architecture instead of relying on perimeter-based trust, detecting and responding to cloud security incidents when they happen, and applying compliance frameworks like SOC 2 and ISO 27001 in a cloud context. Every module pairs a concepts lesson with a hands-on build against a realistic cloud environment.

The capstone

You finish by performing a full security audit of a cloud environment — IAM, posture, network architecture, and incident-response readiness assessed together, not in isolation. This is the kind of engagement a security team would actually be asked to deliver, documented to a standard you could bring into an interview or use as a work sample.

Why this matters right now

Cloud security engineering sits at the intersection of two skill sets that are individually common but rarely combined well — deep cloud infrastructure knowledge and real security engineering practice.
